Berlin, Germany: High-Level Pledging Conference Of the Green Climate Fund, Reception

The Green Climate Fund (GCF) will hold a high-level pledging conference on 20 November, in Berlin, Germany. The conference will be co-hosted by Germany's Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Gerd Müller, and Environment Minister Barbara Hendricks. The pledging conference is open to all governments intersted in contributing to the GCF, and high-level representatives are expected from more than 20 countries. Germany is hosting the event in accordance with a pledge made during the Fund's Initial Resource Mobilization process. Capitalization of the GCF will mark a milestone for the negotiations at the UN Climate Change Conference, scheduled to take place from 1-12 December 2014, in Lima, Peru.
